We are committed to ensuring that our space is welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to as many visitors as possible. As a newly converted building with historic structural limitations, we have carefully assessed how best to provide safe and practical access for disabled visitors from the outset. This Access Strategy explains the current arrangements, the reasoning behind them, and our long‑term plans to further improve accessibility.

The building was originally constructed as a church and has now been repurposed for recreational use. Due to the original structure, the internal floor levels include a change in height that cannot be ramped internally without removing a significant portion of the usable floor area.
A compliant internal ramp would require approximately 12 metres of length, which is not physically achievable within the 7‑metre room depth. Snaking the ramp would consume essential operational space and compromise safe circulation and fire exits. For these reasons, internal ramping is not practicable.

To ensure disabled visitors can still access all essential facilities, we provide step‑free access via our external ramps. These inherited ramps:
Include handrails and non‑slip surfacing
Are well‑lit and maintained
Provide a safe, permanent alternative route to the upper level
Visitors who require step‑free access can exit the main hall and re‑enter the building via the external ramp to reach the accessible toilet facilities.
Clear signage and staff guidance are available to support visitors in navigating this route.
We have converted one of our internal toilets into a fully compliant accessible WC. This facility includes:
A minimum 1.5m turning circle
Grab rails positioned to Part M standards
An outward‑opening door
Emergency assistance alarm
Low‑level sink and fittings
Although the accessible WC is located on a level reached via the external ramp, it is fully compliant once accessed.

Inclusivity is one of our core values. We want our space to be as accessible as feasibly possible from the very beginning, which is why we have implemented the external ramp solution and accessible WC as our initial provision.
Looking ahead, we plan to invest in:
An external lift to provide seamless level access
Ceiling‑mounted or mobile hoists to support visitors with higher mobility needs
These enhancements represent our long‑term vision for accessibility. However, as a newly established venue, these installations are not financially feasible during our initial outlay. We are committed to progressing toward them as the business grows.

We warmly welcome all visitors to arrange a pre‑visit if they would like to familiarise themselves with the building layout, access routes, or facilities. Our team is happy to walk you through the space, answer questions, and ensure you feel confident and comfortable before your visit.
