🚀 A LITTLE ROOM. A BIG COMMUNITY. 💙

We have some absolutely wonderful news to share!

When we first asked local SEN/SEND families what they wanted from our dedicated sensory room, we were overwhelmed by the response. Parents, carers, teachers and professionals shared their experiences, their frustrations and, most importantly, what would make a real difference to their children.

And now, thanks to some incredible local businesses, we're one HUGE step closer to bringing that room to life! 🥹

💛 The Knights Lodge – Our lovely local pub, known for its fantastic Sunday roasts, has generously sponsored our Monster B-Bag, providing a comfortable space for our little astronauts to relax and regulate.

💙 The Clansman – A massive thank you to Victor and Jack for sponsoring our 180cm Bubble Tube Kit, complete with padded surround, bringing a wonderful calming sensory experience to the room.

⭐ The Charity Pot – Who do such wonderful work raising funds for worthwhile causes, have kindly sponsored our Fibre Optic Ceiling Curtain, creating a beautiful visual sensory experience.

🚀 The Cali Lab – The lovely Terry has sponsored our Cuddle Vests, providing valuable deep-pressure sensory resources for children who benefit from that type of input.

Four incredible contributions. Four local businesses helping us create something special.

But there's something even more important behind all of this.

Two of the biggest concerns raised by families were:

💙 Affordability – SEND families shouldn't have to pay a premium simply to access an environment suited to their children's needs.

💛 Accessibility of sessions – SEND sessions shouldn't always be squeezed into the earliest mornings or latest evenings, when they can be difficult to fit around children's routines.

By working together with local businesses and sharing the cost of creating this space, we're in a much stronger position to address both of those concerns.

Our ambition is to make the room affordable and accessible throughout the day, rather than treating SEND provision as something that only happens outside normal opening hours.

We're still working on the finishing touches, but we couldn't wait to share this news and say the biggest THANK YOU to everyone helping us make it happen. If we keep this up maybe we can be open before Christmas???
